MEET THE ARTIST

Hi there! I'm Steph, the artist behind Sending Love Studios.

Sending Love Studios was born from my love of art and my appreciation for the little things in life. The small things that may seem insignificant at first but have the power to create a ripple of happiness to the people around it.

To me, that's exactly what snail mail is. It's something simple, yet incredibly meaningful. Every month, I get to send a little piece of love to people around the world. My hope is that each envelope brightens someone's day and gives them something special to look forward to every month.

The world can feel heavy sometimes, and Sending Love Studios is my way of adding a little more light, kindness, and connection wherever I can. As someone who has experienced struggles with mental health, I understand how important community and connection can be. Sometimes the smallest gestures remind us that we're not alone, and that's the heart behind everything I create.

I have two diplomas: one in Graphic Design and Advertising, and another in Marketing and Advertising. I've always been passionate about creating things that connect with people on an emotional level. My dream has never been simply to make art. It's been to create things that make a positive difference in the world, no matter how small. Through this mail club, I feel like I'm finally bringing that dream to life.

Outside of Sending Love Studios, I also run a small jewelry business with my sister called Jupiter Tears Co. Together, we create beaded necklaces, hip chains, bag charms, mosaic phone cases, and more. If I'm not working on Sending Love Studios, you'll probably find me working on Jupiter Tears. We also love selling at vendor markets and meeting the wonderful people who support our work.

I'm a person with many hobbies, and they inspire so much of what I create. I love drawing, music, playing piano and guitar, crocheting, reading, beading, photography, video games, and so much more. Creativity has always been a huge part of my life, and I love finding ways to weave those interests into the art I share.

I also have a love for travelling, even though I don't get to do it as often as I'd like. One of my most memorable trips was visiting Italy with my fiancé. Walking through museums, seeing centuries of artwork in person, and standing beneath the painted ceilings of the Vatican Museum left a lasting impression on me.

That experience reminded me what art truly is. Art is deeply human. It takes time, patience, practice, and heart. It carries imperfections, emotions, and stories within it. Whether something takes hours, months, or years to create, there's something beautiful about watching a craft evolve over time. Every artist, maker, and creator leaves a piece of themselves in what they make, and I think that's one of the most beautiful things in the world. It's something I aspire to do myself.
